- Course objectives
- Students independently develop a thesis project, which they submit to their supervisor for consultation during the semester. The project must contain all the elements as specified in the assignment, including a draft of the study literature and a timetable. The thesis supervisor will check the content and form of the project and confirm the topic in the topic schedule in IS. Credit for the Thesis Project course will be awarded by the course supervisor. There is an extensive interactive syllabus for the course, which you will review in the first half of the semester.

- By developing a project, you will demonstrate the ability to:
creating the concept of the final thesis,
formulating the aim, research objective, research question,
Demonstrate the ability to search the basic literature,
propose an appropriate research design for the subject of your research. - Syllabus
- The Thesis Project course will provide you with the basic structure of the DP. You will use the prescribed structure to implement the project and focus mainly on:
- 1. What is the aim and purpose of the whole thesis and subsequently the research part
- 2. The precise formulation of the research problem. What is the subject of the research
- 3. Conceptual clarification (what is what and how do I define it)
- 4. Content justification, background of the project (philosophy), basic bibliography
- 5. Concept of research design. Why what and how I want to research and then analyze it
- 6. How I will form the selection
- 7. In the case of a quantitative focus, how the working hypotheses will be formulated
- 8. How I will analyse and interpret the data
- 9. Timeline

- Independent creative work, literature research, work with e-resources in the MUNI catalogue.
- Assessment methods
- The student will discuss his/her project with the potential advisor and submit it to IS by the deadlines of May 30 (spring term) and December 30 (fall term). The subject of the evaluation is the adherence to the required structure, the appropriateness of the topic and the choice of an adequate research design to the subject of the research.
