The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The Goal of course is support the specific abbility to working with other teacher in classroom. During the practice students will be cooperate with teacher with preaparing study materials, using pedagogical instruments, co-teach and discussion something about formative assesment and planing lectures for pupils.
Learning outcomes
After taking the course the student will be able to: • understand the process of supporting pupils with SEN • organise goals and choose the methods that are useful in the process of tutoring with respect to a specific child • communicate with the teacher regarding the planning, implementation and evaluation of educational activities in the classroom • coordinate the work of one student as well as groups of students (including students with SEN) • make contact with pupils’ parents.
Syllabus
  • From a list of cooperating schools, the student chooses a teacher who they will work with on the teaching practice and with whom they will fulfil the duties of a teaching assistant. The first meeting between the student and the teacher will be held at the chosen school, during which the expectations of both parties will be expressed, a timetable for cooperation will be drawn up and cooperation possibilities and desired outcomes will be agreed on. The student will work with the teacher every week for the duration of the teaching practice. This is continuous practice which the student performs over 10 weeks during the semester. They spend 40 hours in the school on actual educational activity and 20 hours on preparation. Assessment methods
The students receive written feedback on their educational activities from the cooperating teacher at the school. They insert the written outcomes from the teaching practice into the prepared applictions in the information system. 1. Confirmed Confirmation of completing assistant practice at the school. 2. Structured output from practice 3. Filling in the evaluation questionnaire - via IS. 4. Participation in group reflection - registration via IS.
