Course objectives
Students observe English lessons taught by experienced in-service teachers in primary, secondary, and language schools. The main objectives can be summarized as follows: to analyze what happens in a lesson and compare observed practice with the theory studied and discussed in didactic seminars.
Learning outcomes
Students will be able to:
- study and understand the theory of the observed phenomenon
- critically observe and describe a certain aspect of the observed teacher's work
- analyze the observed phenomenon
- reflect and compare the observations with his/her own opinions, experience, and beliefs.

Theoretical preparation, observations in school, analysis of the observed lessons, reports, and discussion
Assessment methods
Observations in schools: students must choose three observation tasks and complete observation records to earn credits.
Náhradní absolvování
If a student on a study stay abroad is allowed to do the observations in local schools, then they can sign up for the course.
