Abstract
Language course at level B2. The aim of the course is to develop and supplement the basic skills needed to study professional literature, develop listening, communication, mediation, and writing skills in both general and professional areas.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the course, the student will be able to:
- understand spoken LSP texts at B2 level of the CEFR;
- understand written LSP texts at B2 level of the CEFR;
- successfully participate in a spoken interaction dealing with relevant LSP issues at B2 level;
- show a good command of selected grammar structures at B2 level of the CEFR;
- use selected specialist terminology with natural and sophisticated control.

Approaches, practices, and methods used in teaching
Group work (project), presentations, discussions and feedback, short written assignments, practice of reading techniques and strategies. 
Method of verifying learning outcomes and course completion requirements
1) Attendance (max. two absences during the semester) and active participation in classes, 2) ongoing assignments, including homework, 3) mandatory portfolio assignments, 4) oral presentation/project + summary.

The oral exam is in the form of a presentation and discussion, and includes a written assignment.
