- Abstract
- Language course at level B2. The aim of the course is to develop and supplement the basic skills needed to study professional literature, develop listening, communication, mediation, and writing skills in both general and professional areas.
- Learning outcomes
- By the end of the course, the student will be able to:
- understand spoken LSP texts at B2 level of the CEFR;
- understand written LSP texts at B2 level of the CEFR;
- successfully participate in a spoken interaction dealing with relevant LSP issues at B2 level;
- show a good command of selected grammar structures at B2 level of the CEFR;
- use selected specialist terminology with natural and sophisticated control. - Key topics
- 1. Planning and motivation. 2. Humanities and education in the 21st century. 3. Education and competencies. 4. Gender stereotypes and language, feminitives in Russian. 5. Russian educators and their contribution to global pedagogy. 6. Reading club.

- Group work (project), presentations, discussions and feedback, short written assignments, practice of reading techniques and strategies.

- 1) Attendance (max. two absences during the semester) and active participation in classes, 2) ongoing assignments, including homework, 3) mandatory portfolio assignments, 4) oral presentation/project + summary.
The oral exam is in the form of a presentation and discussion, and includes a written assignment.
