Course objectives
Students will get an overview of modern trends and technologies, as well as the possibilities and threats of their implementation in healthcare and everyday clinical/pharmacy practice. Special attention will be paid to issues related to the ethical problems, economic, educational, and security aspects of modern technologies based on informatics and developed for personalized healthcare.
Learning outcomes
Basic orientation in regulatory, organizational, ethical, economic, and educational aspects of modern technologies used (or with a perspective to be used) in the clinical and pharmacy practice.

  • Ethical, organizational, and economic issues in modern health technologies; ethical consideration in artificial intelligence
  • Personalized healthcare and health informatics
  • Software as a medical device – classification, regulation
  • Health applications for patients
  • Health applications for pharmacists, healthcare personnel
  • Health education in a technology-based world
  • Health and digital literacy
  • Social media and the Internet
