Schopnost zvládnout číst a zpracovat odborný archeologický text v anglickém a německém jazyce (po domluvě v jiné cizí řeči).

Course objectives
The goal of this seminar is to train the students for an individual work with specialised literature from the sphere of Prehistory, Protohistory and the Early Middle Ages, mainly in a foreign language.
Learning outcomes
The outcome is an analysis of specialised texts in the form of essays or reviews for a professional journal, which create the basis for a discussion about a given topic in the seminar.

  • 1. Introduction to the seminar and assignment of specialised texts for essays and reviews.
  • 2. Introduction to writing of essays and reviews for professional journals.
  • 3. - 14. Presentation of essays and reviews in the seminar and subsequent discussion about the current topic.
  • 15. Summation of the seminar.
