Applicants enrol in courses of Czech for foreigners via an application form submitted at the Department of Czech for Foreigners (not via the MU Information System). - Course Enrolment Limitations
- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- The course content is based on the level of Czech language proficiency determined by the entrance test.
The entrance test takes place on the first day of the semester (Department of Czech for Foreigners, Arna Nováka 1, building D, 4th floor).
The course must be taken concurrently with the course CJQP04 (Czech for Foreigners: Very Advanced I - conversation).
The aim of the course is to review the already acquired basics of written expression and to expand the existing language competencies. - Syllabus
- The course content is based on the level of Czech language proficiency determined by the entrance test.
- The topics are based on those covered in the course CJQP04 (Czech for Foreigners: Very Advanced I - conversation).
- Teaching methods
- The course participant is required to complete ten written texts (homework assignments), which must be submitted properly and on time during the sessions of the course CJQP04 (Czech for Foreigners: Very Advanced I - conversation).
All submitted written texts (homework assignments) will be corrected by the teacher and reviewed individually with the course participat during the CJQP04 course. - Assessment methods
- The course is completed with a final written examination, which takes place as part of the final examination for the course CJQP04.
The final examination consists of a school essay on an assigned topic.
Course participant must have 75 % active class attendance in the CJQP04 course and must submit all ten written texts (homework assignments) on time to be allowed to take the final examination.
Late arrival to in-person classes for CJQP04 or joining an online class for CJQP04 late also counts as an absence. Only absence due to illness (backed up by a medical confirmation) does not count.
Active attendance means readiness for teaching (completed homework, having a textbook and study materials, prepared presentation, etc.) and fulfillment of tasks set by the teacher. - Language of instruction
