Course objectives
The course is based on the knowledge gained in the previous course (Law for Psychologists I.). The aim of the course is to provide students with a legal view of selected crime, which more than others interfere a psychological sphere of the victim. Students will be provided with information how these social phenomena are dealt and students will be provided some information about psychological professions, which are essential in the proces of individual types of court proceedings. The course will provide students with the legal framework of assisting organizations and their role in relation to victims of crime.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to:
- identify and describe selected forms some of undesirable social phenomena;
- describe the role of law enforcement authorities;
- Identify psychological professions that have an impact in legal practice
- describe the role of assisting organizations which work with crime victims and their legal framework
Syllabus
  • Domestic violence - legal definition, way of defense against this phenomenon;
  • 2. Stalking - legal definition, way of defense against this phenomenom. The role of assisting organizations.
  • 3. Bullying and cyberbullying - legal definition, the way of protection against them, focusing on juvenile delinquency, which are more threatened by these phenomena;
  • 4. The role of the expert in a court proceeding.

Teaching methods
The course will be will be divided into 4 blocks. Each block of lessons will be divided into two parts, in the first part the student will be acquainted with the theory related to the topic and in the second part of the lesson the case report will be presented, discussions will be held and practical exercises will be given to students.
Assessment methods
The condition for successful passing of the course is the essay in the range of 2 to 5 standard pages, followed by an oral discussion about essay and themes described during the course.
