Course objectives
Analysis and interpretation of the novel-writing of M. Duras in the context of the conteporary French novel (definition of the novel, "French abstract novel", feminism and feminity in the texts of Duras, "OuLiPo" experiments, etc.)
Syllabus (in Czech)
  • Románový rukopis M. Durasové bude zkoumán v těchto liniích: a) "indočínský" (autobiografický) cyklus (Un barrage contre le Pacifique, L'amant, L'amant de la Chine du Nord) b) "indický" (psychologicko-sentimentální) cyklus (Le Vice-consul, Le ravissement de Lol V. Stein, L'amour) c)vliv "nového románu" na autorku (Le Square, Moderato Cantabile) d) autorčin pokus o tzv. "écriture courante" (La douleur, L'été 80, La Vie matérielle). Výsledky analýz obsahových i tvarových aspektů jakožto prvků defnujících uvedené varianty románu M. Durasové budou srovnávány s kontextem současného francouzského románu jakožto nadřazenou strukturou.
