Course objectives
A systematic explanation of the normative grammar of the Attic dialect in the Classical period (according to Lexis: 20-29).
Syllabus
  • 1. Revision.
  • 2. Optative; wish clauses, optative in main and subordinate clauses.
  • 3. Reflexive pronouns; indirect speech.
  • 4. Mediopassive perfect system of verbs with vocalic and explosive stems.
  • 5. Plusquamperfect.
  • 6. Active perfect system of verbs with vocalic and explosive stems.
  • 7. Perfect system of verbs eidenai, dedienai, tethnanai.
  • 8. Irregular passive aorist and future system of verbs; verbal adjectives.
  • 9. Root aorist.
  • 10. Active and medium aorist and future of verbs with liquid stems.
  • 11. Passive aorist and perfect system of verbs with liquid stems.
  • 12. Revision.
