- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- Information science fasten closely technical and humane aspects of subject. Socio-technological approach influences work of information professionals and brings new applications and theories. Main aims of this subject is to introduce new topics and trends in information science. Undergraduates should understand and criticaly think about new trends in subject. They should be able argue about recommended literature in written as well as oral form and read in second language.

- 1. Cognitive science, philosophy of mind, neuro science, new artificial intelligence, cognitive informatics.
- 2. Paradox of productivity, social informatics in SSSR, social informatics a its research approaches, Actor network theory, information ecology.
- 3. Theory of nets, networks and innovations, virtual cooperation networks.
- 4. Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW),cyberpsychology,MUDs, virtual rape, MUVEs, support of collaborative learning and activities.
- 5. Technology policy and biopolicy, neoluddism, extropianism, transhumanism, technological singularity, human-cyborg-android-robot, between technological singularity and environmental crisis.
- 6. Teilhard de Chardin a information society, theory of global brain.
- 7. Interaction, usability, human - computer interaction (HCI), objects of HCI.
- 8. Technostres – its kinds and consequences, information neurosis, prevention of technostress: ergonomics, information hygiene, bionic library.
