- Course objectives
- The aim of the course - to overview the general developement of museum institutions, the collecting interrelated to them and the theoretical thinking about museum phenomenon on theritory of historical Czech Lands. On successful completion of the course students will be able to understand important tendencies in development of museums and muzeology on theritory of Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia, they will be capable to classify them into contemporary cultural, political and intellectual context. Students will appraise importance of museum institutions, their collections and particular museum workers in a history of this field. They will be capable to describe a contribution of historical Czech Lands to a evolution of museological thinking in the world.

- Origin and charakter of provincial museums in 1st half of 19th century.
