Course objectives
The basic purpose of the course is to acquaint students with the most significant Scandinavian political parties and political activities that play an important role in the daily life of ordinary Scandinavians.
Syllabus
  • 1. Political parties in Scandinavia - Basic typology of political parties according to their program, the largest parties in DK, SE, NO, FI and IS 2. Scandinavian autonomous territory - Greenland, Åland, Faroe Islands - position in the country to which they belong, the main legal documents guaranteeing autonomy 3. Sami (Lapps) The origin and history of ethnic groups, the areas in which they live (north of NO, SE, FI), laws of protection 4. Immigration in Scandinavia: A brief overview of the major waves of immigration in the Nordic countries, possible threats and risks (disintegration, terrorism) 5. Final seminar

Regular participation in the seminar, submitting an essay with a minimum of 12 pages.
