- Course objectives
- The aim of the diploma seminar is to assist students to complete the diploma thesis and to prepare for its successful defence. Students must take the course together with the thesis in the semester in which they plan to submit the thesis.
- Syllabus
- Students are expected to demonstrate their abilities to present the knowledge obtained in the lectures, to be acquainted with the existing literature and to summarize the state of knowledge of the particular problem, to look up new information in relevant sources and to bring a synthetic view alongside with an evaluation or with a new approach to the problem. 1. Collecting data (depending on the topic of the thesis). 2. Getting acquainted with the sources. 3. Analysis of the material and completing the individual chapters, presentation of results.

- Teaching methods
- The course may take the form of formally-organized contact hours or individual consultations with the thesis supervisor, which take place depending on the needs of the student and with regard to the quality and the individual stage of work on the thesis.

- The supervisor assigns the course-unit credit for the semester on the basis of the progress made and on the basis of student-supervisor consultations.
