- Course objectives
- In this course, students learn to think about literature in a scientific way. They learn how a literary article is structured and how they can write such an article themselves. They also learn to think critically about literature. In addition, they familiarize themselves with a number of trends in modern literature and receive information about contemporary Dutch and Flemish authors.
- Learning outcomes
- Students will learn about approaches to literary analysis and the latest contemporary literary research in the form of published articles.
- Syllabus
- The course covers the following topics: - reception of Dutch literature in the Czech Republic and in the world - literary market and the role of media - new trends and themes, millennials generation
- Teaching methods
- The intention is that the students read a scientific article every week and answer a number of questions. In addition, they carry out various assignments during the lesson.
- Assessment methods
- - active participation in the lessons (absence maximum twice) - preparation of the homework - paper at the end of the semester
