Knowledge of Dutch is required at level of the course NICF_02 Nizozemština pro začátečníky II.

Course objectives
The aim of this course is to teach the students basic Dutch so that the students are able to communicate in everyday basic situations. We focus on all four skills - speaking + proper pronunciation, listening, writing and reading. The student also acquires basic knowledge of grammar and vocabulary and realia of the topics we focus on during the course.
Learning outcomes
Students will learn the basics of Dutch, learn reading with comprehension, listening, speaking and will be able to communicatie in basic communicative situations.

  • The course covers the following topics, which correspond to the chapters in the textbook Vanzelfsprekend: • 4. What do you mean? • 5. Do you want to join? In addition, there will be several lectures on the Dutch language and Dutch and Belgian society.

Teaching methods
weekly lessons - 2 hours per week (language lessons + lectures on Dutch language and Dutch and Belgian society)
Assessment methods
The course is completed by credit (z). Prerequisite for admission to the credit test is regular attendance (max. 2 unexcused absences), completion of homework within the set deadline and active participation in lessons.
