Krize antické etiky (shrnutí) a vznik křesťanské mravní soustavy. Hledání "přirozených" základů morálky v novověké etice: a) Počátky novověké etiky. b) Spory o pojetí člověka a zdroj mravního rozlišování v anglické etice 17.-18. stol.: Hobbes, Locke a jejich odpůrci. Teorie sebelásky (Mandeville). Skotská etika mravního citu: Hutcheson, Hume, A. Smith. Francouzské osvícenství - teorie zájmu. c) Kantova teorie morálky a etizace náboženství.
