Course objectives
The aim of this course is to give the student a survey of Dutch and Flemish poetry from 1945 to the present time, a summary of the most important theoretical concepts applying to the period concerned (e.g. experimentalism, postmodernism). Special attention will be paid to the group "Vijftigers" with Lucebert as its leading figure on one hand and to some of the Dutch-writing authors who have established themselves in the past two decennia on the other hand.
