Abstract
The course is concerned with basic notions, questions and answers of theory of knowledge. Main attention is paid to reading and interpretation of texts from Bacon to Hume.

Method of verifying learning outcomes and course completion requirements (in Czech)
HODNOCENÍ: Podmínkou dosažení zápočtu je získání alespoň 50%. Potřebná procenta lze získat díky smysluplné aktivitě na hodinách (až 10x3%), vypracováním krátkých esejů během semestru (až 6x5%), pomocí závěrečného cvičení (až 1x15%). Explicitně upozorňuji, že zápočet bude udělen za celosemestrální práci, nikoli za jednorázový krátkodobý výkon: závěrečné cvičení tedy nebude možné absolvovat vícekrát.
