Aim of the II. cycle programme. A knowledge of relevant topics from literature regarding subject like PSA 038, PSA 020 - Metodolygy I,II, PSA 019, PSA 036 - Psychology of Development is assumed; followed by subject PSA 023 Psychodiagnostics of Adults. Active attendace and elaboration of final paper is expected.

Course objectives
Aim of programme of the II. Cycle is to convey essence of psycho-diagnostic tools to students in compact theoretical summary. Aslo partial introduction of basic practical experience with methods most commonly used in diagnostics of these age groups. Active attendance is expected and inclusion of reviews of diagnostic techniques already experienced by sudents /during work stays, practice, participations in research projects etc./ is expected. In the end of course student is capable of: - theoretical orientation in accessible topical psycho-diagnostic tools for age group of children and adolescents - sufficiently chose diagnostic methods for more basic research and diagnostic purposes - to uderstand results and conclusions of chosen tests or methods - to create basic hypothesis of diagnostic conclusions on principle of utilized techniques.

  • definition of basic terminology, psychometric characteristic of psycho-diagnostic methods, specifications of psycho-diagnosis of children, classification of psychodiagnostic methods; clinical methods: observation, conversation, case-history, analysis of spontaneous products; testing methods: tests of development, intellect tests and sets, test of special faculties, knowledge and skitis, neuropsychological sets and methods, projective methods, drawing techniques, questionnaires, objective tests of personality, judging scales; psychological documentation and psychological diagnosis, demonstration of most freqvently used methods

Teaching methods
Tuitions tako place once a week during term: lecture, reviews, discussions, demonstrations of diagnostic methods.
Assessment methods
Examination conducted orally. Prior to exam students are required to submit written paper /or written elaborate of reviews presented during term accepted/ in extend of 3 pages minimum. Aim of the work would be: - practical: description of personal experience with diagnostic method related to age group. This includes theoretical conclusion , administrative description, evalution, interpretation, personal reflection and reference of literature. - theoretical: working out of chosen diagnostic method or group of diagnostic methods in broader extent based on studies of literature. This includes theoretical conclusion, technique description, administration, evaluation, diagnostic potential and reference to literature.
