Course objectives
The aim of the course is to offer students practical skills to combine philological knowledge with general geographical acquirements.Attention will be paid to the Nort American areas .

  • Tematické okruhy jednotlivých hodin: 1.Introduction. General information. Practical description of the region. (Alchazidu, Polická) 2. Geographic and geolinguistic methods of analyses. The SWOT analyse. (Polická) 3. Regional geography - Canada. (Polická) 4. Regional geography - Mexico.(Alchazidu) 5. Demographic and socio economical analyse of Mexico.(Alchazidu) 6. Sociolinguistic questions in Mexico.(Alchazidu) 7. Demographic and socio economical analyse of Québes and Louisiana.(Polická) 8. Sociolinguistic questions in Québec and Louisiana.(Polická) 9.
