Course objectives

At the end of the course students should be able to: define the basic current problems of information security with emphasis on ICT; interpret and analyse concrete real problems; explain factors which influenced the development in this domain; create logic arguments in discussion about the problems, their importance and possible solutions.

Teaching methods

1. The course is taught every week, partly in a form of lecture and partly discussion of the given concrete example/examples (literature about them each student finds himself). Combined students may instead of attendance to develop an additional task and present it at the end of the semester for their colleagues. 2. In addition to active participation in discussions will be required to elaborate a separate task to evaluate acquired skills. 3. The colloquium will be held during the exam period to verify the acquired knowledge.

Assessment methods

Active role in class discussions during lectures/special task for the combined students; elaboration of a task; final group discussion.
