Course objectives
The goal of the subject is to introduce students to the basic problems of normative ethics, introduce them to the key authors, questions and arguments relating to the nature of moral norms and values.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the students should be able to:
- describe the key theories in normative ethics;
- define the basic concepts in the field;
- reconstruct the most important arguments;
- justify their own moral judgments.

Teaching methods
Lectures and seminar work, seminar discussions, accompanied by e-learning.
Assessment methods
1 absence allowed in the term. When exceeded, no credits can be claimed. Final written test 8-10 questions, minimum pass level 60 per cent. Electronic test in case in-class test is impossible.
