Course objectives
Students reinforce and develop their skills in the field of translation and interpreting. 1. Translation of different types of texts. 2. Consecutive interpreting. 3. Simmultaneous interpreting
Learning outcomes
Student who successfully complete the course are acquainted with: a) basic principles of translation; with issues concerning Translation from Czech into Spanish. b) basic principles of interpreting; with issues concerning Interpreting from Czech into Spanish.

Teaching methods
In the seminars students are expected to make use of theoretical knowledge, while working with different sort of texts. Thorough previous preparation is requiered.
Assessment methods
Regular homework required. Students should meet assignment submission deadlines (see interactive syllabus). For each task not delivered in time, 3 points are awarded, which are subtracted from the total of 100 points that can be achieved in the final exam. Written test, success rate: 70%.
