- Prerequisites
- The subject has a direct connection with the assigned topic of the Master’s thesis (AEM_08) and is therefore completed simultaneously with its elaboration. The prerequisite is to first complete the AEM_07a Master's Seminar I.

- Course objectives
- The goal of the diploma seminar is to assist the student in completing the degree thesis and prepare for its successful defence. The timetable for the consultations is arranged on an individual basis. The procedure of elaborating the degree thesis, participation in consultations and joint seminars are classified in the given semester as either fulfilled or unfulfilled requirements.
- Learning outcomes
- The course makes the students familiar with basic principles of an independent theoretical work with professional literature within the scope of the degree thesis. Students will learn to consult and present their work with the seminar facilitator, thesis supervisor and experts. They also learn to lay their professional focus on issues recommended by experts.
- Syllabus
- Individual student consultations with the thesis advisor, which take place in compliance with the needs of the student and with regard to the quality and completeness grade of the work. The Master's thesis addresses a partial scholarly issue at a level appropriate to the degree being pursued. In the degree thesis, the student must demonstrate the ability to work independently in compliance with academic standards, the knowledge and understanding of the relevant scholarly literature and the ability to analyse the issue under study.

- Teaching methods
- Individual student consultations, presentation of work results in a joint seminar. The advisor recommends a selection of methods according to the topic of the Master’s thesis. Attendance both in person and online.
- Assessment methods
- The thesis advisor awards the credit for the semester based on class activity, presentation of the current state of the degree thesis and on the basis of the course of the student-advisor consultations and the seminar.
