Course objectives
The goal of this course is to further develop and improve techniques of teaching Japanese as a foreign language in its written form. The student is supposed to apply his/her theoretical knowledge to practice under the teacher's supervision. The aim is especially at teaching and evaluating short written texts and practice teaching kanji and its compounds in context.
Learning outcomes
After the course the student is able to:
Describe characteristics of kanji characters
Provide corrections in writing
Create a basic excercise of kanji structure
Create a basic excercise of kanji compounds
Evaluate a proficiency of a student based on a short written text in Japanese
Provide English explanation of basic chinese characters' etymology
