Abstract
The field practice is aimed at specific features of social work, at treating demanding social situations relating to social positions of clients. The aim of practice is to become familiar with the normal operation of the workplace, helping hand, where necessary, and to enrich the knowledge of some drawbacks human life.
Learning outcomes
After graduation practice student will be familiar with appropriate ways to work with clients of the institution and can use the acquired knowledge and experience for specific job with   those clients. The student will be able to evaluate the practice with regard to its contribution to his/her personal development.
Key topics
  • The practice is unpaid and a student performs unqualified support work. The working place (social care service, retirement homes, hospice, charity organizations, diagnostic institute, children's homes etc.) is of student's choice (e. g. in his/her place of residence). The practice must be held outside of the school hours (e. g. during exam period, holidays, weekends etc.).

practice - 5 days (ie 40 hours)
Method of verifying learning outcomes and course completion requirements
Conditions for obtaining credit from practice:
1) validation stamp and signature of the responsible person of the duty of passing practice (verbal evaluation of trainee - what is in engaged during practice and how it manifested),
2) brief report on their activities trainee in the workplace in the range of 1-2 pages confirmed by the responsible person,
3) own written assessment of the trainee practices - the contribution for his personal development (in the range of 1-2 pages)

Podle Studijního a zkušebního řádu MU existuje povinnost archivovat veškeré písemné materiály po dobu 6 měsíců od konce zkouškového období příslušného semestru.
D o p o r u č u j e m e studentům uchovávat v kopii potvrzené protokoly o praxi i další písemné materiály, které jsou předpokladem k udělení zápočtu.
Odůvodnění doporučení: Pokud chce absolvent pokračovat v profesní kariéře především v EU, jsou tyto dokumenty v poslední době v některých zemích striktně vyžadovány.
Pozn.:
Protokoly (3 dokumenty) o praxi v tištěné podobě odevzdat do pracovny dr. Z. Stránské (příp. i do obálky na dveřích pracovny dr. Z. Stránské) nebo na sekretariát PsÚ v době úředních hodin.
Protokoly o praxi v tištěné podobě lze také zaslat poštou na adresu Psychologického ústavu FF MU.
