Abstract
The course focuses on review of and further exercises in the most problematic grammar structures found at the B2/B2+ level. Forms, meanings, and usage of grammatical structures of English are not only explained by an experienced teacher, they are also extensively practised during the lesson with the goal of making them automatic to the student. Learner-focused activities such as the analysis of learner errors will form an essential part of the lessons.
Learning outcomes
students will: expand their vocabulary; gain confidence in speaking; practise grammatical structures on given level; improve pronunciation; improve their ability to understand spoken language and to respond appropriately and naturally
Key topics
The grammar course syllabus is built around a weekly theme-based curriculum; each week, classes are focused on a different grammar topic.
Approaches, practices, and methods used in teaching
grammar/vocabulary presentations, class discussions, homework
Method of verifying learning outcomes and course completion requirements
Credits will be awarded based on attendance - you must meet 80% attendance to be eligible. The course is a semester-long course, 22 hours in total. You may miss 2 lessons in total. In the event of long term illness, please contact the course organiser.
