Abstract
The aim of the course is to teach students how to use language corpora in their studies and in teaching, translation, or philological practice through an introduction to corpus linguistics, the methodology of language research based on corpus data, and knowledge of corpus tools for the nature of research questions with the aim of mastering their own corpus research.
Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

work with language corpora (DWDS, ČNK, Uni Wortschatz Leipzig, FOLK/GeWiss, ZuMult) at a basic level, based on their insight into corpus linguistics theory and methods;

formulate their own corpus-linguistic questions and, based on the skills they have acquired, find ways to answer them and thus formulate statements about language.
