- Abstract
- Knowledge of the social context and the history of the country is essential for an administrative understanding of language and literature. In this course, students will learn basic information about Belgium and Sweden at different levels. Students will learn about geography, history, political situation, media, culture, etc. Each lesson is written around a specific topic - a current event that will be critically debated and set in the historical context. Students will be preparing papers on the subject every hour. The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the phenomenon of Belgium and Sweden, but also to be able to formulate their views in the current political-cultural situation of these countries. Students will deepen their knowledge based on reading newspapers and watching other media. Students will also learn facts about Belgium as a seat of EU-institutions.
