Abstract
A specialized seminar focused on subtitling, which takes the form of project-based teaching. The aim is to familiarize students with subtitling practice in order to acquire basic practical skills in this area.
Learning outcomes
Students will learn the basic principles of subtitling and will be able to apply the knowledge they have acquired to specific short audiovisual material.
Key topics
The syllabus is based on three main pillars: 1. Introduction to audiovisual translation and subtitling. 2. Methods, strategies, tools. Subtitling in practice. 3. Practical exercises and project work (material analysis, presentation of results, discussion).

Approaches, practices, and methods used in teaching
1. Seminars. 2. Autonomous work on subtitles. 3. Individual and group consultations. Thorough and regular home preparation is required.
Method of verifying learning outcomes and course completion requirements
At the end of the semester, students will present their own subtitled material, which will be subject to group discussion. The final grade will be awarded for the submission of the completed project and a written reflection on it.
