  • Explanation of the basic problems in classical population genetics: genetic variation in populations. Gene pool, allelic and genotypic frequencies. hardy - Weinberg principle. Assortative mating and inbreeding. Random genetic drift. Mutation. Migration. Natural selection. Mutation - selection balance. Nonrandom mating populations.
