Abstract
At the end of the course students should be able to understand and explain importance of industrial microbiology, work with information on theoretical background of industrial microbiology, production of biomass and fermented products, to understand classical technology with use of microorganisms, modern biotechnology, effectivity of process with microorganisms in biotechnology.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, a student will be able to:
- to assess the suitability of microorganism for technology
- propose optimal technological process
- compare the proposed technology and microorganisms
- assess the appropriateness of the process

Method of verifying learning outcomes and course completion requirements
Written, multiple-choice test. The final test consists of 30 questions. For each correct answer, the student is awarded one point. To pass the test, the student must score at least 20 points.
Alternate completion
In case of a foreign internship, the course can be taken in an alternative form. Details will be agreed individually with the course supervisor.
