Course objectives
Preparation of recombinat DNA molecules for diagnostic purposes. Use of artificial gene transfer in the preparation of DNA probes. Electrotransformation. Molecular diagnostics of microorganisms.Amplification techniques in molecular diagnostics. Methods of molecular typisation. Identification of bacterial genes of resistance to antibiotics. Identification of genetically modified organisms (GMO) in foods. Methods enabling the determination of DNA fragment specificity and the detection of mutations. Bioinformatics. Use of the analysis of bacterial DNA sequences. Validation of microbiological laboratory methods.
