Examination - microbiology, taxonomy of bacteria I., fysiology of bacteria, biochemistry, molecular biology.

Course objectives

Fundamental tests for diagnostics of Araea. Analysis of G+and G- bacteria. Fingerprintings.

Syllabus

• Dignostics - Thermoproteales, Pyroctiales, Sulfolobales, Desulfococcales, Thermococcales, Archeoglobales, Methanomicrobiales, Methanopyrales, Halobacetriales. Analysis of G- bacteria- lipopolysaccharides, lipids, GLC profiles. Analysis of G+ bacteria- peptidoglycan, teichoic acids.Analysis of Archaea cells. Dedetection of structural lipids. Electrophoretic analysis of whole cells.
