- Course objectives
- Lecture extends fundamental knowledge in comparative physiology. It concentrates on understanding of both general principles and special adaptations selected model groups of invertebrates. Links between physiology and ecology (ecophysioogy) and ethology (behavioral physiology) are pointed out. Major extent is devoted to insects. Student is supposed to acquaint colleagues with a short relevant paper. The main objective of the course is to extend knowledge of comparative physiology to invertevrate phyla.
