Abstract
At the end of the course students should be able to understand and explain basic notions and results of differential calculus a and apply them to concrete function analysis.
Key topics
Real numbers. Sequences and elementary functions. Differential calculus of one variable (limit and continuity, derivative, investigation of the graphs of functions, Taylor's formula).

Předmět je ukončen zkouškou, která má dvě části - ústní a písemnou. Nutnou podmínkou pro absolvování zkoušky je udělení zápočtu. Požadavky na úspěšné zakončení předmětu: Písemná část zkoušky prokazuje schopnost aplikace získaných poznatků na konkrétní příklady a dosažení potřebné početní praxe. Při písemné části lze dosáhnout maximálního počtu 4 bodů. K postoupení k ústní části zkoušky je třeba získat alespoň 1,5 bodu. V průběhu ústní zkoušky je požadováno pochopení zavedených pojmů, porozumění vyloženým větám a schopnost jejich formulace. Je vyžadována znalost jednodušších důkazů a myšlenkových postupů složitějších důkazů.
