- At the end of this course, students should be able to:
- design and correctly perform real-time PCR experiment, including appropriate template, chemistry, and instrumentation manipulation
- evaluate absolute and relative quantification data - Syllabus
- Absolute (AQ) and relative (RQ) quantification
- Template preparation and handling; isolation of total and poly(A)RNA; reverse transcription, RT-PCR (5'nuclease assay, SYBR green)
- Primary data analysis, outputs, statistics
- MIQE standards (Minimum Information for Publication of Quantitative Real-Time PCR Experiments)
