- After completing this course the student will be able to:
understand authentic specialized texts/lectures
identify the main ideas
formulate the main ideas
interpret the information
present topics using basic presentation techniques
summarize a more complex text
compare and contrast
use arguments in a discussion on a specialized topic (defend one´s opinion, opose, support arguments of a colleague)
create a CV, write a letter of application,
present oneself in a mock interview - Learning outcomes
- By the end of the course, students will be able to: better understand an authentic global problem from the angle of their specialization communicate it with other specialists in their team better understand interdisciplinary relationships formulate their key skills and motivation for the work in a research team (CV, letter of application for an internship) think critically use Spanish as a tool of communication, use functional academic language, specific language of the subject communicate their results effectively by making their presentations understandable write an abstract

- Course of Spanish for Special Purposes: specialized text analysis, listening comprehension, conversation and discussion in pairs and in groups, applying grammar in new contexts, homework
- Assessment methods
- Each course is finished by a credit test. The condition for a successful finishing of the course is passing the test (65%) and 85% attendance in the seminars.
