- Course objectives
- Four-day excursion supplements the lecture Mire ecology. Its aim is to demonstrate the ecological patterns and research methods in this habitat.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of this course, students should be able to:
- delimit major vegetational types of mires and springs in field;
- predict species composition and structure of plant and animal assemblages;
- record key environmental factors directly in field;
- take peat samples from deep layers;
- identify selected species of bryophytes, vascular plants and molluscs. - Syllabus
