- Course objectives
- The course should provide a review of all basic organ systems of vertebrates, with emphasis on functional principles, development, and evolutionary background. Besides the principal general schemes, descriptions of characteristic modifications in principle taxa across the vertebrate phylogeny are provided.
- Learning outcomes
- After having been attending the course, the student will be able to understand the specific morphological structures in terms of their ontogenetic and phylogenetic development, compare their homological aspects, analyze trends of their modifications during evolution and characterize typical modifications of organ systems in principle chordate groups.

- Teaching activities during the autumn semester 2020 will be in a form of online lectures regularly (every week) uploaded and several interactive online meetings with consultations and training tests through the semester.

- The evaluation will be based primarily on the final oral exam taking into account individual activity during online meetings and training tests.
