Course objectives
Main objectives can be summarized as follows: to understand of types of spreading of vascular plants; to learn basic terms and methods of plant geography; to delineate of phytogeographical regions of the World.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course students should be able to: - know basic ways of plant migrations and understand causalities between dispersal potentiality and area of their geographical distribution - understand of structure of areas of distribution - understand advantages and disadvantages of visualisation methods - know concept of relics and endemics - know of relations of plant distribution over the World

Relic. Endemism. Types of endemism. Island phenomenon. Type of area. Survey of types of areas of Central european flora. Regional phytogeography of the World. Holarktis. Paleotropics, Neotropics. Capensis. Australis. Antarktis. Construction of maps. Software: Geobáze, Dmap.
