Abstract
This course is focused on providing a comprehensive overview of multimedia and its applications. It includes a basic understanding of graphic technologies, including vector and raster graphics, legal issues related to multimedia licensing, various tools for creating and editing audio and video, skills needed for effective use of 3D printing, web development, fundamentals of typography, and basics of virtual reality. The aim is to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary for effective use of multimedia in their future careers and further studies.
Learning outcomes
After completing this course, students will be able to understand the significance and use of multimedia not only in educational settings, but also beyond. They will be able to work with graphic software and create both vector and raster graphics. Additionally, they will be capable of creating and editing documents, building websites, and understanding the basic principles of virtual reality (VR). Students will learn how to record and edit audio tracks, as well as create and modify videos. They will also gain skills in designing simple 3D models for printing and understanding the basic licensing conditions related to multimedia content. This set of skills will enable them to effectively use multimedia in their future careers and further studies.

Approaches, practices, and methods used in teaching
Seminars of this course is organized to take place weekly and lasts for two hours. These weekly sessions are held in a multimedia classroom, which is equipped with the latest technologies that support interactive and effective learning. This teaching format allows students to meet regularly, discuss, and collaborate on various projects and tasks while getting acquainted with different digital tools and technologies. Each weekly session is designed to provide students with enough time to understand and practice new concepts and skills. Consultations can be held in person by appointment during the in-person class times, or if necessary, online via MS Teams (remote). If the in-person group time does not suit you, it is possible to arrange individually and complete the course in a different way. For any questions, please contact the course instructor by email.
Method of verifying learning outcomes and course completion requirements
As part of this course, students are required to submit final task. These tasks are designed so that students can start working on them during the seminars.
