Abstract
The goal of practical exercises in general microbiology is to teach students basic methods of work in microbiological laboratory (methods of sterile work, isolation, seeding and cultivation of microorganisms, preparation of microscopic preparations and work with microscope, determination of number of bacterial cells in different types of samples, yeasts and microscopic fungi).
Learning outcomes
Learning outcomes of the course unit will be practical knowledge and ability of students to use microbiological methods in the practice.

  • Assessment of sensitivity of microorganisms to antibiotics and antibiotics concentration

Approaches, practices, and methods used in teaching
At the beginning of each practical class, the students are acquainted with the content of the class in the form of explanation and demonstrations, then perform the assigned practical task. They draw up a protocol from each class.
