Course objectives
Origin of honeybee, anatomy and morphology, casts, reproduction, breeding of queen bees, genetics and brood rearing, nutrition and feeding of honeybees, physiology of digestion, energy economy, haemolymph, development of castes, mutual relationships, hormonal regulation of functions, instincts, information, pheromones, illnesses, products of honeybees. Other important bee species (Megachile rotundata, Rhophitoides canus, Bombus spp., Mellipona spp.) and possibilities of using physiological knowledge in their management.
