Course objectives
Some results of abstract group theory. The Euclidian group, point groups, space groups. The representations of groups: Schur's theorems, the characters of representation. Construction of the vectors of matrix representation. Small vibration of symmetrical molecules. Groups in quantum mechanics. Perturbation theory, selection rules.
