- Abstract
- The main objective of this course is to practically study with use of anatomical models, virtual study materials and also physical materials to visually establish the knowledge learned by the students within the course Anatomy for anthropologists II.; such proficiency is essential for a study in any area of the knowledge of man. Human anatomy in the extent specific for the students of anthropology.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of this course the students should be able to understand the anatomy of the system of internal organs of man, adequate for anthropologists; the students should be able define and list its components; to explain function of the systems of internal organs of the human body (splanchnology) and use this knowledge in anthropological studies and research;

- Basic topography of the internal organs Multimedia study aids are used in practical training. These include a 3D anatomical atlas and images therein generated which are included in the interactive syllabus. Also, VR sets with Human Anatomy VR installed software are used.

- Approaches, practices, and methods used in teaching
- Classes are held in form of practical study on anatomical models, virtual ( also, VR sets with Human Anatomy VR installed software are used) and physical study materials . Presence is mandatory, the students come to every class prepared for the content practically studied in that class, according to the previous lecture. The preparedness for the class is checked via a short test administered at the beginning of the practical class. The test consists of 6 questions (combination of multiple-choice with one correct answer and indicating correct structures on illustrations/schemes). To be awarded credit at the end of the course the student must acquire at least 65% of the points attainable in the tests.
- Method of verifying learning outcomes and course completion requirements
- Credit is awarded if the student acquires at least 65% of all points attainable in tests and is present in the practical classes (maximum 20% absence non-excused by a physician/illness or other grave circumstances).
