Abstract
That course continues from the winter semester. The main attention will be paid to the evolution, morphology, ultrastructure, systematic position, biodiversity, biogeography, Many species from the living specimens, cultures or preserved material will be demonstrated in the laboratories. Field excursion at interesting algological localities following with the determination of natural samples.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to: understand the most crucial identification features of cyanobacteria and algae; work with information on bioindication, diversity and autoecology;understand important field and laboratory methods used in algology.
