- Abstract
- That course continues from the winter semester. The main attention will be paid to the evolution, morphology, ultrastructure, systematic position, biodiversity, biogeography, Many species from the living specimens, cultures or preserved material will be demonstrated in the laboratories. Field excursion at interesting algological localities following with the determination of natural samples.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course students should be able to: understand the most crucial identification features of cyanobacteria and algae; work with information on bioindication, diversity and autoecology;understand important field and laboratory methods used in algology.

- 1. Field research. 2. Taking of samples, the possibilities of preliminary identification of algae and cyanobacteria in the field. 3. Measuring of principle ecological parameters. 4. The evaluation of natural samples. 5. Species determination, processing of samples for biodiversity and ecology research. 6. Preparing of permanent slides. 7. The preparation of results 8.
