Abstract
Pedagogical competencies range from preparing teaching materials and assisting in practical courses to teaching itself, as agreed between the student and the supervisor.
Learning outcomes
Students should be able to conceive and elaborate on teaching materials and eventually apply these materials in lectures, or develop pedagogical competencies by participating in seminars or laboratory exercises, mentoring junior group members, advising or reviewing theses.
Key topics
Depends upon the agreement of the supervisor, the PhD candidate and the doctoral board representative.
Approaches, practices, and methods used in teaching
Possible ways for passing the course:
- participation in teaching activities (teaching, preparation of teaching materials, laboratory assistance), ​​
- advising on or reviewing Bachelor's and Master's theses, ​​
- mentoring of junior members of research groups, ​​
- completion of a pedagogical skills course (e.gby CERPEK: https://cerpek.muni.cz/en/education/educational-programs/early-career-teachers).​
Method of verifying learning outcomes and course completion requirements
The doctoral board representatives grant credits if the criteria set are met.
