Abstract of the lecture
The aim of the lecture is to provide analytical information about Czech education system. At the beginning, historical background of the organization, financing and delivery of education services is mentioned. The lecture is focused on the process, content and implementation of education reform. At the end, challenges and problematic areas are discussed.
All students are supposed to prepare answers to following questions for the lecture:
1. What are different approaches to the financing of the tertiary education (universities) ?
2. What are advantages and disadvantages of these models of financing?
3. Which system is used in your country?
4. Which system is used in the Czech Republic?
Students are supposed to present seminar work "Tertiary Education - Models of Financing", "Education System and the Labour Markets" and "Current Issues in Education in Selected Country".
